Professional artist Harold Kaplan offers interactive and highly personalized pottery classes in his studio in Burlington, VT. From beginner to advanced, these ceramic workshops are appropriate for all experience levels. You’ll learn ceramic art techniques and have access to all the equipment & tools you need to complete your project. The maximum class size is 2 individuals, so you will receive plenty of personal attention and have the freedom to make the workshop your own.

The lesson is two hours and costs 90.00 per person. Materials fee is $60 which includes, clay, glaze, electricity and shelf space. More clay can be purchased as needed. Class includes:

I am offering an Eight-week course that will be held on Tuesday mornings starting April 9th 10-12:30 in my studio at 309 Saint Paul Street. This course will be open for all levels. I have room for six people. With this small number, everyone can get a lot of attention to their own ceramic interests.

The fee will be 475.00 which includes use of all tools, wheels, glazes and firings and includes 25lb of clay, additional clay will cost 45.00 per 25lb bag. I have an extruder and slab roller, so if you wish to explore hand-built techniques you are welcome. There will be additional studio time on two different days to work on your own. Notes to Participants:

These classes are made for all experience levels and you’re welcome whether you’ve never touched clay or are an advanced craftsman. I recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Short fingernails are a big help.
